This morning I see a post on The Ancient Gaming Noob highlighting a fantastic (yet bittersweet) jibe at Blizzard and WoW subscribers.
I found the video very funny, despite the irony that, like TAGN, I am too still subscribed on annual-pass to a game I haven’t played in months. So there is a pretty awful truth to the lyrics of the song. Blizzard are absolute masters at keeping people subscribed by any means possible.
Of course in October the annual pass is up, and I will finally be able to say that I’m not subscribed anymore. I’ll be interesting to see the first set of subscriber figures to come out after all those annual passes come up to term…
